The next two months at the shop are the busiest of the year. We are going to the annual Nashville Needleart Market in a few weeks. And since it is a cash and carry show (as well as being able to order) we will be bringing back lots of new things to share. The following weekend March 3rd will bring our Premiere Party to introduce all the new products from market. Even though it is a whirlwind trip and rushed shopping at market, it still takes time when we get back to inventory, price, label, etc. so we wait to share until everything is ready for display.

Then our focus shifts to last minute preparations for our Stitching Friends Retreat "Touch Of Autumn" March 23-25. It is our tenth annual retreat so we are looking forward to even more fun (it gets better every year!). "Touch Of Autumn" Stitching Friends Retreat Friday March 23rd to Sunday, March 25th held at the Syracuse Ramada Inn. This year’s teachers are Lori from La D Da and Linda from Lizzie Kate. There will be lots of stitching, relaxing, prizes, drawings, and boutique shopping all designed for a perfect getaway!

UPCOMING CLASSES

Beginning Hardanger "Heart" Saturday, February 4th 10-1 $55 If you have experience working on linen and would like to try cutting threads and forming fill stitches this class will teach you beginning with Kloster Blocks.
Silk Gauze "Valentine’s Day" Saturday, February 11th 10-12 $55 This delicate technique is done on 40ct. Silk gauze with one strand of floss. An Erica Michaels design. Magnification is recommended for this class.
Punch Needle "Mitten" Saturday, February 18th 10-12 $45 Using a three strand punch needle you will punch into muslin. The area inside your hoop will become the back of your piece. Please bring a locking hoop to class.
Beginning Cross Stitch "Lone Star" Saturday, March 10th 9-11 $35 This piece is stitched on 18ct. Aida and will teach basic cross stitch & backstitch as well as "rules" to stitch by & terminology.
French Knots "Whispers of Wings" Saturday, March 17th 10-12 $50 This design by Teresa Layman aka The Knot Lady will show you how to do a French knot and a colonial knot using one strand of floss. A small hoop and magnification is recommended for class.
Needle Felting "Tulip Needlebook" Saturday, March 31st 10-12 $50 You will learn to "felt" using a felting needle on a foam base to create this three dimensional piece.
