Now that summer has officially begun and we are taking advantage of the nice weather to plan trips, picnics, beach days, etc. don’t forget to stop by the shop soon to see the new fabrics, fibers, charts, and embellishments that were released at the Columbus needlework market last month. We are receiving new things daily. And be sure to watch your mailbox for your Christmas In July postcard listing all the specials that day (as well as the change of day to Saturday). UPCOMING CLASSES

Over One "July Gingham" Wednesday July 8th 10-12 $45    Learn to stitch over one linen thread with one strand of floss on 28ct Gingham linen. Magnification reccommended.

Punch Needle "Sunflower Pillow" Saturday, July 11th 10-12 $45    Using a three strand punch needle you will quickly learn how to thread your needle properly, how to space your stitches, and how to change the depth of pile on your work. Locking hoop required.

Beginning Cross Stitch "Pansies" Tuesday, July 14th 6-8 PM $25    Learn how to cross stitch and back stitch on 18ct Aida and about fabrics, fibers, hoops, and terminology.

"Summer Garden" Saturday, July 18th 10-1 $70    Learn a variety of specialty stitches in this detailed band sampler from The Victoria Sampler. Experience stitching on linen and counting threads is required.

Brazilian Embroidery "Rolled Roses" Saturday, August 1st 10-1 $40    Surface embroidery using rayon flosses to create a three dimensional effect that looks very impressive. Locking hoop is required for class.

Beginning Hardanger "Heart" Saturday, August 8th 10-1 $50    If you have experience with linen and would like to learn to cut threads, do wrapped bars & fill stitches to achieve this lace-like look in your work this class will teach you how.

Needle Felting "Summer Star" Saturday, August 15th 10-12 $45    Using wool roving and a very sharp felting needle, this technique is done on a foam base. Quick and easy.

Beginning Linen "Summer" Saturday, August 22nd 10-12 $30    Learn to stitch over two threads on 28ct linen.

All classes require a 50% deposit to register. Call 449-2181 or stop in the shop to see the class models. Photos of class projects are also available on the classes page. All materials are included in class fee unless otherwise noted. Please bring a small pair of embroidery scissors to class with you as well as any special lighting or magnification required.
